Beirut Explosion

On the 4th of August, a fire started in Beirut, in Lebanon, in the Middle East. The fire spread quickly, causing a warehouse with chemicals to explode.
Sadly, over 140 people were killed and a further 5,000 were injured. Rescue teams have moved in and the area has been closed off.

The warehouse had contained chemicals that are used for farming purposes, but are highly flammable.
Lebanon's government has spent lots of money to help repair the city and provide help to those in need.
